Commodore 1541C Disk Drive
5.25" diskette drive for the Commodore 64.

Cover removed.

Close-up of electronics. Top left are 2 rectifier bridges, to the right
of them are 2 voltage regulators (TO-3 package) mounted on a heatsink.
Left one is an L7805C and right one an L7812C.
Most IC's are made by MOS, a company owned by commodore. The 6502AD is
the microprocessor and above and below it sits a couple of 6522 "Peripheral
Interface Adapters" (PIA). MOS prefered to call them VIA's (Versitile
Interface Adapters) because they also contain timers and a shift
register (see wikipedia article MOS Technology 6522 for more details).

Board removed to reveal the big trafo.
